Why is it that every ethnic holiday is celebrated by getting drunk? St. Patty’s Day. Cinco de Mayo. Bastille Day. Oktoberfest is celebrated with weeks of getting blitzed. I long for the day when people are sold beverages that give fascists a run for their money. “Tap water - Pissing off conservatives since forever!” You know what also will never happen in America? Free alcohol! That is, booze made using taxpayer money. Why not? It’ll get more citizens to the polls to vote. But I think people are too chicken shit to go for it. Inside their hearts, parents want their children to have it worse then them. By default, they want their kids to drink and drive… and die. Some people, though they won’t admit it, treat their babies like NASCAR events; they can’t wait to see their kiddos to crash and burn barreling 150 miles per hour down Dead Man’s Curve! The mere fact that your town has such a curve ought to say something about your community’s psyche, you know?
